Job Summary

The Sheboygan Water Utility is looking for a Utility Support Specialist to join its dedicated administrative office team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in the public sector. The candidate must be detail oriented and enjoy completing a variety of tasks on a daily basis. 

The Support Specialist works closely with all members of the customer relations and fiscal department in providing service to Utility customers. The Support Specialist is a primary point of contact with customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Support Specialist works directly with customers by phone, email, and in person by answering questions, providing education, calculating utility bills, processing payments, collecting past due balances, scheduling appointments, and managing account transfers. The Specialist also assists with other business related tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

A minimum of an associate's degree in a business field is desired, along with significant customer service experience. Candidate must have exceptional communication skills. Prior experience in banking and/or Spanish fluency is a plus.
