100 Year Old Water Main Replacement

Published:

The Water Utility crew is replacing about 900’ of ~100 year-old 8” water main with 12” in this stretch of S. 12th St. and abandoning the 6” water man in Kentucky Ave. All lead and/or galvanized water laterals within this project (about 11) will be replaced with copper through a new curb stop in terrace.

Work has begun August 22nd, and all work, including repaving, should be completed within about a month.

Portions of the project will be closed at times, for the safety of the public and that of the workers. Drivers should use S. 10th St. and S. 13th St. as detours.
